Preparations:

  • Open all files in PSP, duplicate and close the originals. NOTE: If you are using different colors you might need to colorize some of the files.
     

From PSP 14, 15 AND 16 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

 

 

Colors:

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #083b68

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to 3cc0ed

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

Open a new transparent image of 900 x 550 px

Fill the image with the Gradient

Color Changer

Right click in the middle of your image to colorize with the Backgroundcolor 

  

Note: This tool is only available in newer versions of PSP, users of older versions can colorize in the usual way, or use an external Plugin such as Nik Color Efex Pro to achieve the right effect.

On the newly colored image:  Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Select All

Edit - Paste - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette:  Change the Blend Mode of this Layer to Soft Light

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Color Palette:  Change the Backgroundcolor to #041a2e  

Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image -sdtMask134-vi

Fill with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Click)

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selection Tool: - Custom Selection 

Maximize "dbk building_118" from tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette:  Lower the Opacity of this layer to 70

(Optional)  Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Maximize "cas_Heatbreak_Deco3" from tray

Edit - Copy

on your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layer Palette:  Set the Blend Mode to Luminance(L)  and lower the Opacity to 63

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal  (Image - Mirror in older versions of PSP)

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Press K on your keyboard to activate the Pick Tool  (D in older versions of PSP)

Drag the nodes in all directions like this:

 

Press any key on your keyboard to close the Pick Tool

Edit - Copy

On your work image:   Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 40% - Resize All Layers - not checked

Move to the Bottom Right of your work like this:

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

Maximize Tube "Tocha24367" from tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 55% - Resize All Layers - not checked

On your work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Move to to the left side of your work or where you prefer.

Maximize " Dani_mogstad_Intention_Blk" from tray

Edit - Copy

On your work image:   Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Image - Resize - 35% - Resize All Layers - not checked

Effects - Image - Negative Image

Note: This Tool is available in older versions of PSP but not diplayed on the Toolbar to have permanent access to this feature:

Go to View - Customize - Adjust - Drag and Drop the Negative Image Icon onto your Toolbar

Move text into place like this:

Lower the Opacity of the wordart to 60

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1px - #1a5ab4   

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 20px - #ffffff      

Magic Wand Tool:  Click in the white border

Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout

Selections - Select None

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked -  10px - #1a5ab4 

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked -  20px - #ffffff      

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked -  1px   - #1a5ab4

Optional: Image - Resize - Width 900 Pixels - Resize all Layers checked

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
