Materials:  

This translation is written with PSP15 but can also be made with other PSP versions.

 

 

Plugins:

  • Plugin Galaxy - Warp 2
  • RCS Filter Pak 1.0 - RCS Digi-Lens
  • Alf's Power Toys
  • Simple - Top Bottom Wrap
  • DCspecial - Book
  • Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow

 

Colors

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #c2cb55

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #023660

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

 

 

Preparations:

  • Open the Brush in PSP and export as Custom Brush ( File - Export - Custom Brush)
  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Preset, it will be imported automatically
  • Copy the Mask files to the Mask folder of PSP
  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP

From PSP 14 and higher versions there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE

Open a new transparent image of 850 x 600 px

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Plugins - Plugin Galaxy - Warp 2

Effects - Plugins - RCS Filter Pak 1.0 - RCS Digi-Lens - Bubble Pack.

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Effects - Plugins - Alf's Power Toys - Mirror Offset.

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Top Bottom Wrap

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcoor back to color

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 113"

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Effects - Plugins - DCspecial - Book.

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Free Rotate - Right checked - 90

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay"

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 113a"

Effects - 3D Effects - DropShadow - Backgroundcolor

Selections - Select None

View - Rulers

Hit the K or the D key of your Keyboard ( Depending on your PSP version)

Move the top Node down to 100 px and the Bottom Node up to 500 px

Hit the M Key of your Keyboard to remove the nodes

View - Rulers

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Luminance (Legacy) " and the Layer Opacity to 60

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - Astrid masker 113

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Overlay" and the Layer Opacity to 50

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Layers - Duplicate

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Multiply" and the Layer Opacity to 80

Your work and Layer Palette look like this now:

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - "Astrid selectie 113b"

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor

Selections - Select None

Effects - Distortion Effects - Wind - From Left checked - Wind Strength: 60

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Flip

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Layers - New Raster Layer

Paint Brush Tool   - "Astrid penseel 113" - Size: 363

Stamp with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Click) on your image like this:

Layers - Arrange - Move Down - Repeat 2 times

Layers - Merge - Merge Visible

Your work looks like this now:

Window - Duplicate (or shift+D) - Minimize to tray and go back to the original

Open Tube "Astrid tekst 113

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste as New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Hard Light"

Open Tube "Mary 0912-114

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste as New Layer

Image - Resize - 65% - Resize all layers not checked

Image - Mirror

Move to the Left like this:

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow -  Settings Tab: Preset Astrid Shadow 113

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layers - Arrange - Move Down
 
Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this layer to 25

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 2 px - Backgroudcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 30 px - Foregroundcolor

Magic Wand Tool - Mode: Add /Shift - Tolerance 0 - Contiguous checked - Anti Alias Checked -  Click in the last border

Maximize the image you have set aside earlier

Edit - Copy

On your main image:

Edit - Paste into Selection

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 10

Selections - Select None

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 2 px - Backgroundcolor

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!

Note: If you resize to a smaller size, the effects will be different...
