Materials:  

This translation is written for PSP15 but can also be made with other PSP versions

Plugins:

  • Filter Factory N -  Pathways to Helion
  • L&K SiteOfWonders - L en K"s Djin
  • Graphics Plus - Quick Tile I
  • Visual Manipulation - Transmission
  • Simple - Diamonds
 

Preparations:

  • Copy the Selection to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Copy the Mask files to the Mask folder of PSP
  • Open the Brush in PSP and export as Custom Brush ( File - Export - Custom Brush)

From PSP 14 and higher versions there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #ffffff

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #7c3a24

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Linear

 

The tutorial:

Open a new transparent image of 900 x 550 px

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Plugins - Filter Factory N -  Pathways to Helion

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 20

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Plugins - L&K SiteOfWonders - L en K"s Djin

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Color Palette: Set the Foreground Gradient back to color

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - "Narah Mask_0193"

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Plugins - Graphics Plus - Quick Tile I

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Effects - Plugins - Visual Manipulation - Transmission

Layers - Arrange - Move Down

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Image - Resize - 60% - Resize all Layers not checked

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Diamonds

Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Multiply"

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selection Tool - Rectangle   - Custom Selection:    

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Click)

Selections - Select None

Layers - New Mask Layer - Load Mask from Disk - "Astrid masker 123"

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Multiply" and the Layer Opacity to 35

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill with the Foregroundcolor

Layers - New Mask Layer - Load Mask from Disk - "Astrid masker 123a"

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Dodge" and the Layer Opacity to 40

Your work and Layer Palette look like this now:

Open Tube "Astrid deco 123

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Color Palette: Swap Materials

Lock the Backgroundcolor (#ffffff now)

Pen Tool - Mode: Draw Lines and Poly Lines - Create as Vector checked - Linestyle Dot - Width 2

Draw a Vertical line like this, hold down your Shift Key to get a straight line

Layers - Convert to Raster Layer

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to  "Multiply"

Layers - Duplicate

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Layers - Arrange - Move Down

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Open Tube "Astrid deco 123a

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

No need to move

Layer Palette - Click on the Third Layer from the Top

Eraser Tool (X key on your keyboard) - Shape: Round - Size 20

Erase the lines that cover the little blocks

Do the same on the other side

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - Astrid selectie 123

Open Tube "Yoka-Lady-RedHair18-1112

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Move into the Selection like this:

Layers - Duplicate!

Selections - Invert

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Keep selected!

Layer Palette - Click on the Second Layer from the Top

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Multiply" and the Layer Opacity to 45

Keep selected!

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Invert

Fill the Selection with the Backgroundcolor

Selections - Modify - Contract - 2 px

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Layers - New Raster Layer

Paint Brush Tool   - "Astrid penseel 123" - Size: 255

Stamp with the Backgroundcolor (Right Mouse Click) in the Top Left Corner like this:

Layers - Duplicate

Image - Mirror

Image - Flip

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Layers - Arrange - Send to Bottom

Layers - Arrange - Move Up

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Open Tube "Astrid tekst 123

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 1 px - Backgroundcolor

Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked  - 15 px - Backgroundcolor

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
