Preparations:

Open all files in PSP, duplicate and close the originals. NOTE: If you are using different colors you might need to colorize some of the files.
 

From PSP 14, 15 AND 16 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is an easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE. From PSP 17 the option is back

NOTE: If you use your own images or tubes, make them the same size!!!

 

 

Colors:

       
#000000 #ffffff        

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #000000

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #ffffff

Color Palette: Set your Background to Gradient @nne_290514_GR_Magnhild_tdstudio - Style: Radial

Open a new Gradient image of 900 x 500 px

Materials Palette: Change the Background Gradient back to Color

Layers - New Raster Layer
 
Brush Tool (B) Select "@nn_010614_brush_Magnhild_001_tdstudio"  from the drop down menu  Size: 900
 
 
Stamp the Brush with the Backgroundcolor at the top of your work like this:
 
 
Layer Palette: Lower the Opacity of this Layer to 80

Stamp in the middle of your work with the Backgroundcolor   like this:

Layer Palette:  Change the Blend Mode to Dodge and Lower the Opacity to 40

Stamp at the bottom of your work with the Backgroundcolor  like this:

Minimize to tray for now ( you might want to save as a .pspimage in case PSP needs to be restarted)

Maximize "Image1.jpg from tray
 
Window - Duplicate
 
Minimize to tray for now
 
Working on the original Image1:
 
Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 5px  Backgroundcolor 
 
Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 30px Foregroundcolor 
 
Edit - Copy
 
On your main work image:  Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer

Raster Deform Tool:
 
Note: This Tool will need to be added to your Toolbar if you haven't already done so.
 
Click on View > Customize > Tools
 
In the Commands Tab choose Tools > Deform
 
Drag the icon with your mouse up to your Toolbar and release it
 
Close the Customize box
 
 
Click on the presets Tab and select "@nn_310514_VV_Magnhild_tdstudio"
 
Press any key to close the Raster Deform Tool
 
Your work looks like this now:
 
 
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow    Vertical: 12  Horizontal: 12   Opacity: 40   Blur: 12   Color: #000000
 
Layers - Duplicate
 
Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal

Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk "@nn_010614_Selectie_001_Magnhild_tdstudio"
 
 
Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor    (you may need to Zoom In)
 
Selections - Select None

Image - Negative Image
 
Effects - Plugins - Simple - Offset by 3
 
Flood Fill Tool set the Opacity to 30 on the Toolbar
 
Fill the Layer with the Backgroundcolor

Selections - Load/Save - Load Selection From Disk "@nn_010614_Selectie_002_Magnhild_tdstudio"
 
 
Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor  (Opacity is still set to 30)
 
Keep Selected

Note: If you are using your own tubes you will need to resize them to match the originals
 
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin - Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Perspective Shadow - Preset - "@nn_070614_Magnhild_EC5_PS_001"
 
If the preset isn't working for you use these settings in the Basic Tab:
 
 
Move the tube into place like this:
 
 
Layer Palette:  Lower the Opacity of this Layer to 50

Edit - Copy
 
On your work Image: Edit - Paste - Paste As New Layer
 
Position text to your taste
 
Layers - Merge - Merge All Flatten
 
Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Buttons and Frames - Rectangular Button
 

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
