  1. Preparation
    Foreground color = White,background color = black
    Material from the background: change the black color into Fading background gradient with these settings:

  2. The material palette looks like this:

    This lesson is made in X6, but can be made in lower versions without any problem too.

    The Lesson

  3. We will make a starry sky first.
    File - New Image, color black

  4. Adjust - Add/remove noise- Add Noise:

  5. Adjust - Brightness and contrast: Brightness/Contrast:

  6. Window - duplicate (2 times) , minimize the copies and proceed with the original
  7. Layers - New Raster layer
  8. Flood fill with the gradient
  9. Activate this file: @nn_091013_Image2020_Halloween_001_tdstudio.pspimage, Edit - Copy
  10. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area
  11. Layer palette: Decrease Opacity towards 35% - blend mode: Normal
  12. Layers - New Raster layer
  13. Activate your Flood fill tool and fill the layer with white
  14. Layers - New mask layer - from Image and choose my file:

  17. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area
  18. Effects - Images Effects - Offset:

  20. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area
  21. With the move tool, move down a little (in the half orange sphere)
  22. Layer palette: blend mode: Luminance (Legacy); Opacity: 85%

  23. Activate this file: @nn_091013_awitch_Halloween_tdstudio.pspimage, Edit - Copy
  24. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area and move to the top left
  25. Close the background color:

  26. We will draw the web with the Pen tool (Draw Freehand)
  27. Activate this file: @nn_basis-web_Halloween_tdstudio.pspimage (I made the frame 8 lines), Window duplicate, close the original and continue with the copy
  28. Activate Pen Tool, with these settings:

    you can download my spider web here. Just paste this web on your working area in the right top corner and continue at point 38

  29. Draw the lines and try to make it similar to mine: (you probably will have to try a few times).

  30. Layers - Convert to raster layer
  31. Layers - Merge - Merge down
  32. Adjust - Add/remove noise- Add noise:

  33. Effects - Plugins - EC 5 Nature - Rust - tab settings/user settings: and choose my preset:

  35. layers - load/save mask- load mask from disk and choose the 2020 mask:

  36. Layers - Merge - merge group
  37. Edit - Copy (do not close this image, we still need it !!!)
  38. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area
  39. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow: 2/2/35/4 color: BLACK
  40. Activate this file: @nn_111013_Spider_001_Halloween_tdstudio.pspimage, Edit - Copy
  41. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area, and move the spider to its place on the web.

  47. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area
  48. Layer palette: blend mode: Normal; Opacity: 30%
  49. Layers - New Raster layer
  50. Activate your Flood fill tool and fill the layer with white
  51. Layers - New mask layer - from Image and choose my file:

  55. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area
  56. Effects - Plugins - EC 5: Impact - Persp. shadow tab settings/user settings and choose my preset:

  57. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow: 0/0/100/75 color: BLACK
  58. Activate the big spider now: @nn_111013_Spider_002_Halloween_tdstudio.pspimage, Edit - Copy
  59. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area and move:

  60. Activate this file: @nn_111013_Black-Cats_Halloween_tdstudio.pspimage, Edit - Copy
  61. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area and move to the bottom
  62. Activate the spider web you made, Edit - Copy
  63. Edit - Paste as new layer on your working area and move:

  65. Layers - Duplicate, and move to the left bottom corner
