  • Preparation
    I took a light color for the foreground #8d98a3 and a dark color for the background #24262f
    Change foreground color into a Foreground/background gradient with these settings

    Material palette looks like this:

    Feel free to change the opacity and blend mode from the layers if you work with different colors. You can colorize if necessary

    The lesson

  1. File - New - New image and choose the gradient:

  2. Effects - Plugins - Neology - Turnaround

  5. Effects - Plugins - Mura's Meister - Tone with these settings:
    Color FG/BG: white:

  7. Activate layer palette and decrease opacity towards 20%, Blend mode: Soft light:

  10. Window - duplicate and minimize - proceed with the original - the copy will be used for the background

  14. Activate layer palette - Blend mode = HARD LIGHT

  18. Adjust - hue and saturation- colorize: 66/116 (gives a green color)
  19. Layer palette: blend mode = OVERLAY
